The Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers (ANFRC) is an organization of non-profit agencies or programs that provide a wide array of services designed to protect children and strengthen and support families in Alabama. The purpose of the Network is to support the development, growth, and continuation of these services by providing technical assistance, training, advocacy, resources, and networking opportunities.
The Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers is a proud partner of Alabama Department of Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention and The Children's Trust Fund.
The Strengthening Families training is a 6-hour program designed for everyone who works with parents, children, or families in a professional or volunteer role. This interactive program introduces important topics including Strengthening Families Framework; Adverse Childhood Experiences; and Positive Childhood Experiences. For each topic, presenters will provide an overview of the research behind it, the topic itself, and most importantly, participants will be given an opportunity to reflect on the topic’s relevance to their work with families. Participants will leave the training with ideas about how this information can affect the way they approach their work to improve the lives of those they serve.
Children's Trust Fund has made it possible for us to offer CEUs at no charge to participants! Participants will be award 5.25 CEU Contact Hours in Social Work, Counseling, Education, and Junior Parole Officers. Also, the Department of Mental Health will also award 5.25 Mental Health Contact Hours for participants.
